Monday- Day 113

Good Morning.  I am sorry I am out today.  I really wish I was in school with you.  I was in the ER yesterday.  I did something to my shoulder, and I am in utter pain.  I am at the orthopedic surgeon, and I plan on being back with you on Tuesday.  Please be good for the sub.  Here is what is going on in class today.

1. SSR for 10 minutes
2. Get into your groups and rehearse your Jungle presentations.  You will have 15 minutes.
3. Go on line and find an article related to wealth in AMERICA.  If you are not sure what to look up, here are some suggestions: wealth gap, income inequality, net worth, net worth and race, men vs women's income, unemployment, under-employment, student debt, poverty, minimum wage, raising the minimum wage, inflation, who as all the wealth,  ANYTHING that interests you about the idea of wealth.
4. Please complete the following after you read the article:

• Create a new DOC in your English folder called WEALTH
• Put a link to article at the top of the page
• Write a summary of the article (5 sentences)
• Write your reaction to the article.  How do you feel about what you read?  What are your feelings?  (7 sentences)
• Create a claim about the article.  You can write about what has caused the situation to be, what the effect of the situation is, or you can purpose a solution to the situation.  Be sure to follow the C, E, R, E, R, C format.

5. Whatever is not done is do for homework.
